Stats, Points, and Your Vyrtical Score

Your Vyrtical score reflects the extent to which you have contributed to the Vyrtical community. A high score is meant to quickly show that you have generated high quality works, inspired others to create works, and have been helpful, supportive, and a positive influence on the community. A low score means you have yet to prove yourself.

That said, your Vyrtical score is now shown in your profile. You can see it by clicking on the MORE arrow next to your username in your profile. Your score is determined by a very simple algorithm. Each win is worth 10 points, each work you've influenced is worth 3 points, and each upvote or downvote is worth 1 point or -1 point. Why these numbers? No specific reason. Honestly, it's a wild guess on what we think is right.

Knowing that, this algorithm can and probably will be changed as time goes on. For the most part, we want to award points to people who help create a great community here at Vyrtical and take points away from people who do the opposite. As the community builds and points start being rewarded, we will change how we calculate your Vyrtical score to ensure that it is fair and accurately reflects one's contribution to Vyrtical.

Also, your opinions and suggestions on how we should calculate one's score is important to us, so any input you might have is greatly appreciated.
